007Research project with formal viusal representation. For centuries Polish architecture has constituted itself through appropriation. It was the constraint, not the model, that produced the deviation. The project proposes a polemic by borrowing from Polish architecture itself. Resulting in Techno-Romanticism as an arrière-garde position. (More...)

Competition proposal for a sanitary pavilion in Szczecin. Every structural element is made from the same 28mm timber panel. Inside and out, the whole is covered in a single oil paint. The pavilion is meant for rapid assembly and is deliberately acontextual: a small unit that permits multiplication, and with it the mass logic of the repetition. (More...)

005Housing proposal in Basel's St. Johann quarter. At street level, newly intended tram stop and fountain beneath an continuous roof working against the street monotony and hinting the garden behind. The housing above contains a series of duplex apartments - creating an intended confusion about the real scale of the building. (More...)

Intervention that takes waste sites in Laos and apllies on each a series of vessels that collect rainfall in quantities sufficient to irrigate the site through the dry season. The result is a closed water economy and recultivation of the public use. The scale is absurd, and is meant to be - stating the problem at a scale that cannot be ignored. (More...)

003Kunsthaus extension at Solothurn's public and cultural perimeter - three solid blocks face the modern side, toward the old town a single roof carries clear of them. The main volumes are white boxes, made as neutral as they can be made. The space in between is open - the art is seen against the landscape rather than against nothing. (More...)

002Small renovation of a conventional Basel apartment, on a limited budget. The project uses only what can be carried out of construction store the same day and sets it against the existing rooms rather than into them. What results is no longer a corrected version of the given space but rather comes loose from it - and holds on its own.

Proceeding from necessity and taking it as a position rather than an irony. One poster, identical in every instance, distributed across Basel, in locations that have nothing in common. The profession waits to be approached — it publishes, it exhibits, it is written about, and hopes the commission follows. The poster does none of this. (More..)
